Recently, we have been receiving an increasing number of consultations regarding the withdrawal of Malaysian operations by Japanese companies. In this context, they are faced with the ultimate choice of liquidation or selling the company, and there are several options for ‘selling the company’, which we will introduce here. Specifically, there are three general options: asset transfer, business transfer and stock transfer, which are outlined below.
